Mark PearceMark Pearce was born February 6, 1938 in Harare, Zimbabwe. He has a diploma in architecture from the architecture association in London, England. Pearce works in Zimbabwe and Zambia, and has been doing so for the last 33 years, where he invented the Eastgate Centre. His designs promote low maintenance, low running costs, and renewable resources for energy and environmental control, which the Eastgate Central is a phenomenal example of. His recent work entails passive control systems for small single story buildings and larger buildings to use non-imported materials and human resources, even more so than the Eastgate Centre did. He is a man who is consistently striving for the well-being of humanity. [6]
